About Me

Hi, I'm Kate and I am a mobile beauty therapist / beautician working in the Keighley / Bingley area of West Yorkshire. After qualifying in my Level 2 and Level 3 City and Guilds NVQ in Beauty Therapy in 2002, I was granted a scholarship to go to the Yorkshire College of Beauty and complete a CIDESCO, which is a very prestigious beauty qualification. While I was training, I started working part time at a salon. It was not long after I had finished training and started working full time in a salon that I decided that I wanted to set up my own beauty business and also help others to learn to be professional beauty therapists. I set up my mobile beauty business while I completed my Certificate in Education teaching qualification, then taught Level 2 NVQ City and Guilds Beauty Therapy at college for 9 years along side my mobile beauty.

I am passionate about beauty therapy and really enjoy my chosen career. I love helping people improve their skin with a good skin care regime and I enjoy all aspects of beauty, whether it is general maintenance treatments or preparing the bride and her party for that special day.

Antioxidants

Come from Vitamins, including vitamin A, C & E. Antioxidants neutralize the effect of free radicals.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

A vitamin-like chemical and antioxidant. It is found naturally in every cell in the body to help turn glucose into energy and may also regenerate other antioxidants. It helps prevent cell damage and restores vitamin C & E levels. Top up your alpha lipoic acid by eating liver, kidney, spinach, broccoli and potatoes.

Peptides

Chains of amino acids (like a protein except peptides tend to be smaller). Help to prevent premature aging by stimulating collagen production and improving the firmness of the skin.

Free Radicals

Reactive cells created by the body, also from smoking, pollution and exposure to UV light. They cause harmful chemical reactions that can damage healthy living cells and tissues in the body.

Persaonal data collected on your consulatation sheet will be used to provide safe and effective treatments and advice. It may be necessary for me to pass the relevant information on to my insurer in the event of a claim, I will not otherwise use or disclose personal information from your consultation sheet without your consent. You are entitled to access your personal data and request for it to be destroyed, however please note that my insurance requires me to hold details of your treatment for 7 years after the date of your final treatment.
